January 20, 2011:
Today we commerate: Synaxis of St. John the Baptist. ***Yesterday was Theophany, Divine Liturgy was served with around 45 souls, 3 Priests and 2 Deacons, around 35 people went to White River for the Blessing of the Waters returning to St. Nicholas for a Pitch-in Lunch. It was so nice to share this Feast Day with our brothers and sisters from Joy of All Who Sorrow Orthodox Church. ***This coming Sunday will be the 2nd practice for the St. Sava program. January 13, 2011:
Today we commerate: Ven. Melanie; Holy Confessor Dositej of Zagreb. ***Tonight starting at 6PM with Vespers and prayers for the New Year. We will have a mini concert and Cevap dinner. There is no entry fee just $10.00 / $15.00 for Cevap dinner. Following Mini Concert there will be music and dancing. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! ***This coming Sunday following Divine Liturgy will be the first St. Sava practice. Hope to see you here. God Bless.

December 16, 2010:
Today we commerate:Prophet Sophonias; Venerable John the Silent. *** Thank you to Mirko Milivojac and Stan Cvetkovich for clearing the snow off the parking lot and sidewalks today. ***Preparations are underway for our Church Slava on this Sunday, tomorrow around 11am we will start getting the fellowship hall ready, we welcome all help. Our Bishop Longin will be visiting. Hope to see everyone on Sunday. Stay safe and warm.

December 14, 2010:
Today we commerate: Prophet Nahum; St. Philaret the Merciful ***Tonight at 7:00 p.m. there is a Youth Meeting at our Church. Stan Cvetkovich plowed our parking lot and Nic Babic cleaned the sidewalks and our pavilion. ***Milos Cvetinovich made candles today. This Sunday, December 19th is our Church Slava and we are looking forward to a visit from our Bishop Longin. Hope to see you on Sunday.

December 9, 2010:
Today we commerate: Venerable Alypius the Stylite. ***Tonight at 7pm we are hosting the Pan Orthodox Mission Council Meeting. ***This Saturday December 11 following Vespers (6pm) Fr. Daniel Byantoro will be giving a Lecture on World Religions, with a focus on Islam. ***This Sunday, December 12th will be the last Church School Class before the winter break, Church School will start again on February 6th.

December 8, 2010:
Today we commerate: Hieromartyr Clement. ***This past Sunday was our Church's Annual Meeting, we had over half of our Stewards present. It was a very good meeting. ***This Saturday following Vespers at 6pm we will have a lecture by Fr. Daniel Byantoro on world religions with a focus on Islam. We are looking forward to Sunday, December 19th for our Church Slava. Our Bishop Longin will be here and he will bless the pavilion. Keep warm.

November 30, 2010:
Today we commerate:St Gregory the Miracleworker; St. Nikon of Radonezh; St. Maximus of Constantinople.*** This past Sunday we had a full Church, Glory to God and to everyone that came to Church! We have started Advent Lent with Soup, salad and bread for a light lunch following Divine Liturgy on Sundays. Thank you to the Arsich family for providing lunch. The youth and children of our parish put the Christmas tree up and we have started the hat and glove drive. Hats and gloves to be donated to Glick Neighborhood Center and Wheeler Mission. Today Divine Liturgy was served, one of our Parish families brought in their bread and wheat to be blessed for their Slava. The room addition at the Parish home is finished. Today we commerate: Martyr Menas; St. King Stefan of Decani. ***Happy Slava to everyone celeberating their Slava today. Divine Liturgy was served today with several parishioners attending, Bob and Dorothy Stankovich brought their bread and wheat to be blessed. ***This past Sunday Glory to God the Church was full, Father said it looked like Christmas Eve. ***Last Saturday the K.S.S. had their Bake Sale and Bazaar with close to 200 people attending, we want to thank everyone that came and supported the sisters. We had 9 vendors selling items and a real treat for the sisters, a massage therapist. *** The Parish Home had a wall added to the family room to make another bedroom. ***Happy Thanksgiving to all tomorrow, thank you God for all your Blessings.

November 16, 2010:
Today we commerate:Renovation of the Church of St. George. ***Happy Slava to everyone celebrating their Slava today. ***Divine Liturgy was served today with several Parishioners attending. Glory to God for the rain we received today. ***The sisters will be busy the rest of the week getting ready for their Bake Sale on Saturday, Nov. 20th Please come and support our Sisters, you can purchase wonderful baked goods for your Thanksgiving celebration. Bring your family and friends.

November 9, 2010:
Today we commerate:Martyr Nestor. ***7PM tonight Youth Gathering. ***Our Sisters are working hard preparing for our Bake Sale and Bazaar, November 20th. They have been making Nut Rolls, Cookies, Breads and more yummy things.

November 2, 2010:
Today we commerate: Venerable Hilarion; St. Hilarion of Meglin; St. Visarion the Confessor. ***The November bulletin is going out today! Thanks to our volunteers this month Maria Stanjevich, Olga Osherov, and Sofia Fields. Don't forget this coming Saturday to set your clocks back 1 hour before you go to bed.

October 27, 2010:
Today we commerate:Venerable Mother Parasceva of Serbia - St. Petka. Happy Slava - Today Divine Liturgy was served with around 15 souls in attendance. *** Exciting News - Congratulations to Alex Schuster, she was selected as one of the 80 member AAU USA Junior team that competed in Caorle, Italy, just outside of Venice, Oct 22-24. Alex won the Gold medal for Shorin Ryu Kata (form) 15 year old female. ***Hope to see you on Sunday, don't forget the Fall Festival for Church School following Divine Liturgy.

October 26, 2010:
Today we commerate: Martyr Carpus; New-Martyr Zlata of Meglena: ***Glory to God we got through the storm this morning here at Church, we lost one small tree that was snapped at the base of the trunk and one of our trash cans from the pavillion is in the middle of the yard. Hope everyone is safe and doing well.

October 20, 2010:
Today we commerate: Martyrs Sergius and Bacchus. ***Today we say a sad goodbye to the wonderful dancers of Talija. It was such a wonderful experience to see them dance and to learn from them, but mostly to get to know the wonderful young people in the dance group. Tuesday evening we had around 30 to 35 people from our parish learning and enjoying the dancing. It was quite a workout, but alot of fun. God willing we will see them again in a year or two. Please keep them in your prayers as they continue their travels.

October 19, 2010:
Today we commerate: Apostle Thomas. ***Wow, Awesome, incredible; are only a few of the words used to describe the performance given here at our church Sunday night by the Professional dance group "Talija". Everyone that attended had such a wonderful time. If you missed Sunday night don't worry, tonight at 6:30 pm the dance group will be giving lessons to anyone that can come, beginners to advanced are welcome. Please join us.

October 14, 2010:
Today we commerate: Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos, our Monastery Slava. ***Looking forward to the Folkdance and Concert on Sunday, Oct. 17th (doors open at 6PM) by the Professional Dance group "Talija" please join us.

October 13, 2010:
Today we commerate Hieromartyr Gregory; St. Michael of Kiev.***Today Deacon Marko and 15 of our parishioners attended a Tea at the Columbia Club, the Keynote speaker was Princess Katherine of Serbia. It was a lovely event, our own Biljana Bojovic and Diana Szelei sang the Serbian National Anthem for the Prince and Princess and around 300 other people. ***Don't forget that this Sunday the Professional World-Renowned Folklore group from Serbia "TALIAJ" will be performing at our church, the doors open at 6pm. October 6, 2010:
Today we commerate the Conception of St. John the Forerunner and Baptist: ***Sunday was Stewardship Sunday, we had a wonderful "Picnic" and a slide presentation of the Trip to Mt. Athos taken by Father Dragan, Deacon Marko and several of our parishioners. ***Tuesday one of our neighbors stopped by to see the church and ask if he might come on his lunch hour and play his flute, beautiful music.
