ST.NICHOLAS SERBIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH SCHOOL - HISTORY
The Church School of the St.Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church
was founded in 1950. The first teachers and organizers of
the school were Dorothy Milivojac, Yovanka Savich, and
Steve Yerich. Dorothy taught elementary and Yovanka and
Steve taught high school until they retired from
the Indianapolis Public Schools. Under their leadership,
through the years regular Sunday Church School classes
have been held. Annually the Church School observes
the feast day of St. Sava with a special program honoring
the patron saint of the schools and children.
